Lemonade Wars

Get ready to pucker up—because The Lemonade Wars are about to go down!

Hosted by the brilliant (and slightly sticky) third and fourth grade classes, this epic event is inspired by The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies. But this isn’t just story time—it’s go time. The kids are broken into teams and transformed into pint-sized tycoons, building their very own lemonade empires from the ground up.

Their mission? Conquer the thirst of the toughest market out there: Kindergarten through second grade. (No pressure—just impress a crowd known for tantrums and make those lemons into true sweet delicious, eye catching LEMONADE.)

Each team whipped up a legit business plan that includes a clever name, eye-catching branding, high-stakes promotions, and the all-important lemonade flavor selection. Will it be classic and cool or wild and wacky? Will glitter be involved? Probably.

They’ve crunched the numbers on cost, decided how to price their cups, and even figured out how to turn a profit—because in this battle, it’s not just about taste... it’s about the cha-ching.

Two awards are at stake:

  • Best Tasting Lemonade

  • Most Profit Earned

Let the sweet (and sour) showdown begin. May the best stand stand tall!

For a full hour, he poured lemonade. The world is a thirsty place, he thought as he nearly emptied his fourth pitcher of the day. And I am the Lemonade King.

Evan Treski is people-smart. He’s good at talking with people, even grownups. His younger sister Jessie, on the other hand, is math-smart—but not especially good at understanding people. She knows that feelings are her weakest subject.

With just five days left of summer vacation, Evan and Jessie launch an all-out war to see who can sell the most lemonade before school starts. As the battleground heats up, there really is no telling who will win—and even more important, if their fight will ever end.
